ASSISTANT MANAGER, USED-BOOK DIVISION 2003-2010

Managed the overall brand; expanded B&N’s core used-book business by developing an online presence for both second-hand ("Barnes & Noble Once-Read Books") and antiquarian/rare books (“Barnes & Noble Collectibles”); traveled extensively to antiquarian book fairs and other trade events. Also served as chief rare books cataloguer and evaluator, performing extensive bibliographical research, conducting appraisals, and issuing regular print and electronic catalogues.

Antiquarian Book Seminar 2012-2013

AUCTION ORGANIZER / ASSISTANT FACULTY

Organized the annual charity auction to benefit ABS (a highly regarded non-profit institution founded in 1972, formerly known as the Colorado Antiquarian Book Seminar). Solicited, catalogued, photographed, lotted, and indexed donations (consisting of a wide variety of books, manuscripts, ephemera, and services); desktop-published and issued both print and e-catalogues. Additionally pursued and collected third-party bids, solicited scholarships, and served as adjunct to the faculty.

Responsible for the output of the entire magazine, from raw text and graphics to the final printed page; additionally ran the production of Data Comm–produced “show dailies” at two major week-long international tech conventions held in Atlanta, Georgia (1998) and Geneva, Switzerland (1999).
